Sea angling in Christchurch Harbour at Stanpit is particularly good during the Spring and Summer months for bass and grey mullet, while nearby Mudeford and historic Hengistbury Head offer plenty of scope for beachcasting all year round. Please note that Christchurch Harbour is now a sporting fishery and all fish - including game and sea species - must be returned. For clarification this rule does not preclude the use of livebaits within the boundries of this fishery. A full list of the relevant rules can be found here.
