*Please don't let the relatively low test-curves put you off. Hexagraph rods are far more powerful than the test-curves suggest. We believe that they have almost twice the lifting power of tubular carbon rods with similar test curves!
We at Davis Tackle have been extremely impressed with the latest rods produced by Greys and are now pleased to offer their entire range of coarse fishing rods. Detailed below are the barbel rods but we are pleased to offer any rod in their current range.
Greys Prodigy Barbel
The Prodigy Barbel comes at
either one and a half pound test curve or one and three quarter pounds test
curve if you reckon you'll be slaying the monsters. Whichever you choose, you'll
be glad that you did…the matt grey carbon weave not only looks great but gives
incredible lightness and strength. You'll find SIC rings throughout. The butt
ring has a double leg for strength. The Fuji reel seat will never let you down
and the integral duplon front winder means the reel will never work loose under
pressure, however excruciating. For those of you that touch ledger, the slim,
premium-grade cork handle will be a bonus and you'll go for the durability and
style of the duplon base. Greys have included a hook keeper so your butt ring,
corks and hook points all stay unscathed.
A host of features…the one and
a half pound test curve rod boasts quivers of one, two and three ounces in
strength. The one and three quarter pound test curve moves up a notch to two,
three and four ounces. The four ounce tip is manufactured out of carbon rather
than glass because at this weight it's just that little quicker,
