Last Monday Kevin O'Farrell landed the first salmon from the Royalty for nearly a week when he fished Jacks Corner on Beat One and took a fresh run fish of 17lbs on a conehead tube fly.
With spinning allowed for the salmon and sea trout since last Friday, sport has definately picked up on the Royalty. Gary Perks landed two salmon on Saturday, a ten pound hen from above the Pipes followed by a seventeen pound cock fish from below the Pipes. Both fish were taken on a Devon Minnow and were both caught in the morning.
Sunday saw the improvement in sport continue with regular Royalty rod Steve Mitchell landing a sixteen pound hen from above the Pipes on a Mepps Aglia Fluo.
