Dear [FIRSTNAME],

Sea Fishing Predictions - November 2009
DORSET FORECAST - NOVEMBER

SHORE: Codling, conger and whiting will dominate sport along much of the Dorset coastline with a few hefty specimen wrasse also putting in an appearance from some of the rock marks. Specimen sole will feature on night tides from many of the Bournemouth beaches along with codling and pouting. Lugworm and rag will take most fish. Well-conditioned flounders will flood back into Poole harbour with good catches expected. The Purbeck rock marks will offer some great conger fishing with a 40 pounder definitely on the cards. Durlston Head, Winspit and Worbarrow Bay are all key areas to give it a try. Some specimen wrasse are also on the cards especially around Winspit. The whole of Chesil beach will fish well with whiting, codling, dogfish, pout and dab all figuring well, especially after a good blow when the water is well coloured. Fish will then feed close to the shoreline. Portland rock marks could produce a record breaking wrasse, good conger and some decent pollack. Velvet swimming crabs are likely to be the top bait for specimen ballan's. Productive marks are Pulpit and Ocean rocks. The odd decent sole could also be taken from Church Ope Cove. Flatties, pout and small whiting are expected to dominate West Bay beaches.

BOAT: Poole boats should return with fair catches of good conger, pollack, bull huss and blonde ray from the deeper marks, while inshore venues should see codling, ray, pouting and dogfish come to the net. Flounders will continue to dominate catches within Poole harbour with most fish falling to ragworm and peeler crab bait. Good marks for the dinghy angler include both Upper Wych and South Deep Channel. Anglers afloat from Weymouth should be in for some excellent sport with a good run of spurdog expected along with some big conger, pollack, blonde ray to 20lb, pout and whiting. The dominate species from the Shambles and Lulworth banks are likely to be codling, pollack and dogfish. A few jumbo cod could also put in an appearance off Abbotsbury where squid will be the best bait.
